After a tough game against Hart high school, one goal led to the Royals defeat in girls soccer at the CIF playoffs.
The Royals (7-3-4) had a couple of chances on corner kicks but they couldn’t come up with a finishing touch.
“Hart is definitely a really good team, and they came out strong during the first half,” explained senior captain Caroline Vance. “ We had a lot of good opportunities to score, and I am proud of how we stepped it up in the second half.”
Although girls soccer lost the match, they still ended the season on a high note. The loss was only the team’s third since Channel League play began.
CIF ended quickly for girls soccer, but the team looks forward to a promising season next year.
