The Hangover Part 3: May 23, 2013

The trilogy is finally coming to an end. The last and final movie looks to be promising, much more so than its lackluster sequel. The boys are going to Las Vegas for one last hoorah after the death of a character’s father. The movie features performances by Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helms of Hangover1 and 2 fame, and Academy Award nominated actor Bradley Cooper and is directed by Todd Phillips, who you might remember from his work on critically acclaimed movies like Frat House and Road Trip.

This is the End: June 12, 2013

Franco. Rogen. Hill. The combination of theses actors light up the big screen with their chemistry. From the directors of Pineapple Express, This is the Endshows the same type of idiotic humor that relates to all ages. Actors are portraying themselves in an apocalyptic setting, where anything goes. With hilarious one liners and special guest appearances by celebrities like Rihanna and Emma Watson the movie is bound to be a success.

Man of Steel: June 14, 2013

The next big superhero movie is here, a Superman reboot from the director of 300 and Watchmen. Christopher Nolan, the director of The Dark Knight, is producing the film. In the movie Superman lives the life of an outcast, a fugitive who is shunned by society because of his abnormalities. Amy Adams, Henry Cavill, and Russell Crowe all play major parts in the movie.

World War Z: June 21, 2013

If you like watching Brad Pitt fight against the world overtaken by zombies then World War Zis for you. The action packed thriller is exhilarating and will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout the entire movie. Brad Pitt must fight to save the world with the pressure of having every single human life on his shoulders.

White House Down: June 28, 2013

Channing Tatum. Enough said. Ladies if you would like to see Channing Tatum saving America while his muscles are exposed then this movie is for you. After seeing the trailer I will be the first in line to buy a ticket. Gentlemen, there is also appeal for you in the form of things blowing up and periodical violence.

The Lone Ranger: July 3, 2013

From the men and women who brought you the Pirates of the Caribbeanseries comes a reboot of the 1949 TV show The Lone Ranger. Directed by Gore Verbinski, the man who worked on the good Pirates of the Caribbeanmovies, the film follows the adventures of the Lone Ranger, a man who fights evil in the Old West. While Western films have been underperforming lately, with the help of big names like Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter the movie should be a success.

Pacific Rim: July 12, 2013

From the director of Pan’s Labryinth comes a new movie about giant robots beating up sea monsters that emerge from the depths of the Pacific Ocean. The monsters proceed to terrorize the Earth, until the humans fight back with their giant robots. It looks like it will be an incredible film. Seriously. Watch the trailer.

The Wolverine: July 26, 2013

Wolverine returns this time on a quest to regain humanity. His quest leads him to modern day Japan where he encounters people from his past and someone who could possibly be the end of him. Wolverine faces the challenges of becoming mortal once more, all while needing to save the world from evil.

Elysium: August 9, 2013

In 2154, the inhabitants of Earth are split into two classes: The rich and the poor. The rich live on Elysium, a paradise space station free of crime, disease, and the poor. Everyone else is stuck on Earth, staring up at a paradise in the sky which they will never reach. Matt Damon plays the hero of the story, a man who, like most of the humans in the story, lives on Earth. Damon’s character is given the opportunity to be an agent of change and he takes it.

Kick-Ass 2: August 16, 2013

Based on a comic book by Mark Millar and John Romita Jr., the sequel to the 2010 cult hit will be released August 2013. Kick-Ass is about normal people who decide to wear costumes and fight crime in New York. Kick-Ass was notorious for the profuse profanity and stark, brutal violence that permeated it, and Kick-Ass 2 seems to be much the same. The redband trailer features swearing, gunplay, and a German Shepherd biting a man’s testicles. The owner of the German Shepherd is played Jim Carrey, whose character is a vigilante superhero named Colonel Stars and Stripes.
