Wednesday night, on January 22nd, 8th graders and their parents visited San Marcos to get a preview of their high school experience. Everyone gathered in the auditorium at 6 pm to learn about the academic and sports programs at San Marcos. 8th graders and their parents had the opportunity to take a tour around the campus, and later got to talk to teachers in the cafeteria about programs the school offers. Programs such as AAPLE, Introduction to Education, Mock Trial, and Kids Helping Kids all had tables set up to introduce great parts of this high school, hoping to catch the interest of prospective students. Overall 8th grade parent night seemed to be a success, many programs sparked interest in the students, especially sports.
