Apple Makes Headlines with New Phones and Futuristic Watches

The time has finally come. On September 9, 2014, Apple the most watched company right now, announced its new products. The new innovations include: iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, and the new smartwatch, the Apple Watch.
“Everyone basically has one and they are everywhere, that is what makes them so popular,” said junior Brianda Rodriguez who have had her iPhone for three years.
The iPhone 6 has been long awaited ever since iPhone 5 was introduced. The iPhone 6 will have a 4.7-inch screen and the iPhone 6 Plus has a 6.6-inch screen, one inch bigger than iPhone 5s and 5c. Each phone has different prices too, the iPhone 6 is $199 with a two year contract while the iPhone 6 Plus is $299 with a two year contract.
The features of the new phones include: improved cameras with a stability function, and a mobile payment system. The phones also came with a fingerprint password with which you can access your iTunes, iBooks, App Store, and most importantly your phone, so you do not need to remember your password. The iPhones will be available in gold, silver, and space gray.
The Apple Watch was a big surprise when Apple announced it. Even though the product will be coming out in early 2015 at $349, the Watch will be the first wearable Apple device. It will have: Siri, a fitness app, instant notification, iMessage, Calendar, Music, Photos, Apple Pay, Navigation and more.
The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus pre-orders began on Friday September 19, 2014 with the iPhone 6 Plus selling out instantly. The phones set a record with selling 10 million phones in just three days, and they have not started selling in China yet. What is next for Apple? What new invention will they come out with next?
