Austin City Limits Music Festival pushes the Limits

A & E editor

An amazing two weekends, six enormous stages, and 130 mind-blowing performances made up the Austin City Limits music festival held in Austin, Texas. The festival is over the course of two weekends in October, from Friday – Sunday each week. The music festival features genres of music including pop, country, rock, hip-hop, jazz, indie, and electronic for 75,000 people who attend the concerts daily.
At the 2014 ACL music festival some of the biggest music artists performed in front of thousands of fans. Headlining the festival was Eminem and Skrillex, who each performed for 1½ hours on Saturday. Leading up to their performance, was Iggy Azalea, Lana del Rey, Icona Pop, Outkast, Foster the People and Sam Smith. The last day Sunday, featured singers like Lorde, Phantogram, Cults, Zedd, and Calvin Harris.
Aside from the performers, crowds could enjoy over 20 different places to eat at. As Texas is known for its delicious food, the festival featured some of Austin’s finest eateries that appealed to everyone, and even offered vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Between performances, people walked around the park and shopped at the ACL market. They sold hats, clothes, jewelry, books and other merchandise to take home.
Even though this festival just ended, tickets are already on sale to order for next years 2015 ACL, and I highly recommend buying them, especially if you enjoy good food, a fun time, and amazing performers.
