Lacrosse is coming to an end

The lacrosse season is coming to an end, with the final two games just around the corner against Thatcher and Cate, who were defeated early this season by San Marcos. Unfortunately, the Royals lost one game early in the season to Oak’s Christian, otherwise they would have a perfect record. A rematch is awaiting in CIF and the Royals definitely know that they can compete. The team is looking even better than the past few years thanks to the coaching staff and dedication that the players bring to each practice and game. They end the season with the hopes of defeating Cate and Thatcher again, and remaining undefeated in league play.

It’s a good thing that we were able to come out strong against every team in every game,” said junior Trey Tank. “This season will be one of the best so far, we have shown that we can beat any team. Going into some of the later tournaments, we should be able to show our strength and hopefully take home a banner.”

If the team does participate in a tournament, it will probably be Memorial Day and will likely be more competitive than the regular season, as the Royals are dominating just about every team.

With ten of our games out of the way and only one loss to #5 ranked Oaks Christian, we’re looking ahead to our last three games and hopefully into May with the CIF southern section playoff tournament,” said junior Kai Sanvictores. “Our season has been great so far and we have gotten a lot better as a team, hopefully we can finish just as strong as we started.”

The next game is a home match against Cate on April 27 at 6pm. This is the last game of the season and it should be a very competitive match, so come and show your support by cheering them on.
