DIY Fall Drinks

DIY+Fall+Drinks

As the wind blows and the leaves turn brown, autumn is here and it is in town. With the fall season finally here, we get to enjoy the taste of cinnamon and pumpkin spice this time of year. Today, I am going to tell you about some DIY drinks that you can make at home that will spice up your taste buds.

The first drink that was highly recommended to me was homemade apple cider. Although apple cider from any grocery store is delicious, homemade apple cider is a whole lot better. It takes roughly two to three hours and you need a crockpot, apples, oranges, allspice, cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon sticks, brown sugar, water, and your choice of sweetener.

Another drink that is quite popular during the fall is the Caramel Frappuccino. This drink is filled with sugar, fat, and calories, but it is totally worth it. The ingredients of a homemade Caramel Frappuccino includes coffee, cream, whip cream, your choice of milk, ice cubes, and caramel sauce. The caramel sauce mixed with the coffee makes this drink delicious.

A drink that was highly recommended to me was a Pumpkin Apple Cider Fizz. The ingredients of a Pumpkin Apple Cider Fizz include pumpkin puree, apple cider, and ginger beer, not to be confused with alcoholic beer. Because of the recommendations I received for this drink, my fellow journalists and I decided to make this drink ourselves. The drink has a fizzy consistency with the tang of apple and pumpkin. Overall, our class gave this drink a 7.8 out of 10.

After spending time learning about fall drinks, I decided to make one of these drinks myself. A drink that was highly recommended from Google was the Autumn Spiced Toddy. The ingredients of an Autumn Spiced Toddy include coffee, ice, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and cloves. I have to say, when I tried this drink it was delicious. All of these flavors complement each other making the iced coffee taste so much better. Throughout the fall season, I will be making more of these yummy fall drinks and even experiment on my own. I highly recommend that you do so too, as many of them are delicious and easy to make.
