Merry Movies

The holiday season has begun! It’s now that type of year to turn the fire on, grab some hot cocoa, and lay down and watch a holiday movie. A problem that everyone faces when they sit down to watch a movie is what holiday movie you should watch. Some of the most popular movies for you to watch around holiday time are, The Polar Express, The Grinch, Home Alone, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and many others.

“Some of my favorite movies to watch during the holiday season are Elf, The Polar Express, The Grinch, and Daddy’s Home. Watching these movies during the Christmas season with the fire on and drinking hot coco is one of my favorite times of the year,” said sophomore Nathan Del Castillo.

Elf is one of the most popular movies to watch during the holiday season as it stars Will Ferell and really gets you into the holiday spirit. Daddy’s home also stars Will Ferell and Mark Walberg and is a really fun movie to watch with your family right before christmas. These movies are good to watch as they are appropriate for all ages and can give you a good laugh and get you in the holiday spirit.

“I watch Elf just about every year. It’s my favorite Christmas movie. I think that the Nightmare Before Christmas is a super good movie and is a classic that you should watch before christmas. That movie is also super fun because you can get the full effect of the movie watching half of it on Halloween and half of it on Christmas eve,” said sophomore Haden Shields. This brings up another element of holiday movies: how they can also tie into other holidays like the night before Christmas can tie into Halloween as well. These types of movies are another great way to get into the holiday spirit by watching movies that multiple holidays together

Christmas day is almost upon us! This season you and your family should all sit down together and enjoy one of the movies that were talked about, and really get into the spirit with the fireplace on and a glass of hot cocoa.
