San Marcos boys tennis decimated the Dons in a 13-5 win on Thursday. The crosstown rivalry was a cake walk for the undefeated San Marcos tennis team.

Duo junior Kyle Shaffer and freshman Cade Campbell carried the team with a massive 6-2 win. The Royal’s other duo, junior Spencer Bauer and senior Shea Suzuki, held their own against the Dons.

Sophomore Carter Cotich and senior Jed Greenwald won all three of their singles matches, while senior Matthew Chung beat the top two Dons singles players.

“Cade and I played really hard, and it showed against Santa Barbara. The match was really fun and energetic, and I can’t wait to finish the year undefeated,” said Shaffer.
