A Three-Peat Sounds Great: Royal Knights Win Music in the Parks Festival

SMHS Vocal Music Department

The Boston Celtics, New York Yankees, and now our very own Royal Knights. What these three groups now have in common is a 3-peat (getting first place three consecutive times). This feat was recently achieved by the Royal Knights, who received a superior rating this past Saturday at the Music in the Parks Festival, which took place at Six Flags. The choir won first place out of 20 schools and 20 total ensembles. Adding to the victory, Royal Knights member Aaron White was awarded one of two soloist awards for his great guitar playing.

“It was super fun to play Spanish style guitar since it was a new style for me” said Aaron White, regarding their performance “It was an honor to play with the three guys for Canto Del Agua and I’m stoked that we swept the competition.”

The Royal Knights will have their final concert today at 7pm, so if you are interested in seeing their winning set, tickets will be available on GoFan from now until 7pm, when the event starts.
