NFL Playoffs Preview

NFL+Playoffs+Preview

This year’s NFL playoffs has the potential to be one of the most exciting postseasons that we have ever seen. It will have many of the league’s top powerhouses such as the New Orleans Saints, Kansas City Chiefs and Seattle Seahawks but will also have its fair share of underdogs. Not to mention there are now three wild card spots open for teams who would not normally have made it to the playoffs, giving them a shot at the Lombardi Trophy.

With all the health concerns relating to COVID-19, many were speculating that the NFL might not even have a season, or at least did not think it would last this long. Despite the Global Pandemic, the NFL was still able to get their season rolling by taking the right precautions. All players and coaches must get tested for COVID regularly. Referees must also do the same and wear masks during the games. And unfortunately, little to no fans are allowed at any of the games. Even with all this, the playoffs are right around the corner with the first game starting on January 9th.

“The Saints and Buccaneers will play in the NFC title game, with the winner facing Kansas City. And it’ll be the most entertaining Super Bowl ever.” Says Mike Freeman who is the one of the Lead Writer’s for the NFL. “The New Orleans Saints may be the class of the NFC South, but the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Atlanta Falcons have the talent to make a Cinderella run.” Says Gary Davenport who’s an analyst for the League. Although these are just predictions, they very well could be true. Even with the pandemic, it’s pretty safe to say that people are excited to see what the future holds.

Many people think this could be the most important postseason ever and are sure it will be nothing short of amazing. Not only will these teams have overcome a Global Pandemic, but also the adversity of the regular season. Regardless of whoever wins, this season will prove what team is able to persevere throughout the tough times, and trust each other to get the job done. In my opinion, I think the Kansas City Chiefs will win the Super bowl this year over the Seattle Seahawks. The Chiefs won last year and I believe they have the best shot at winning it this year as well. Led by MVP Quarterback Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs are without a doubt one of the best teams in the league. But what sets them apart is their team chemistry. Mahomes has great relationships with his teammates and always gets everyone involved. As for the Seahawks, they are also one of the best in the league. Led by Quarterback Russel Wilson, the Seahawks are my pick to make it out of the NFC. What impresses most about them is their depth. Wilson has played for the Seahawks for 8 years and has no plans of leaving. Even with this, I still think Kansas City will win the Super Bowl and take home the Lombardi Trophy.
