Please note: While a thirteenth sign, Ophiuchus, was rumored to be “discovered” by NASA (this statement has since been proven incorrect), most newspapers do not include it in their horoscopes. In order to uphold the respectability of the King’s Page and our Royals, we shall not include this additional zodiac sign in our paper. Only the standard twelve will be included in our horoscopes below.
Capricorn (December 22–January 20): It’s your birthday, Capricorn—time to let go of your old goals from 2020 and put effort into new ones in 2021! From January 17th till the end of the month, you’ll want to be flexible and welcoming of unplanned moments to shine. Near the end of the month, people will be inexplicably drawn to you, as your charming personality will be at its height. While this is very exciting, do not forget to properly manage your time and your schedule—if you’re not sure whether you completed a task, go back and check.
Aquarius (January 21–February 19): Home is where the heart is, and this January, your home will feel very different, Aquarius. January 23rd should be a fateful day for you, but it will also find you gaining confidence and looking forward to the coming months. On the 28th, you’ll be coming to terms with an issue you’ve been avoiding for a while. Take your time to figure it out and resolve it. It would also be wise to give yourself a break from your excessively busy life. You don’t have to quit everything, but try not to pile more onto your plate until February.
Pisces (February 20–March 20): Surprised yourself yet, Pisces? If not, you will by the 17th. This January is all about going against the grain, which is something you relish doing. You’re learning fortuitous things about yourself as well as happening upon experts in subjects you’re passionate about, all without really trying. By the end of the month, you will be ready to nix any toxic people or activities and dive into what really matters to you. This will provide you with the inspiration to complete any past endeavors that you put on pause, but it’s your choice if you do.
Aries (March 21–April 20): Your social life will be buzzing by January 19th. Be careful not to burn bridges while you’re making all these new connections, though, Aries. It will be tempting to make a lot of snap decisions and judgements during this time, too, and if made too hastily, the aftermath of these choices won’t be pretty. So watch your money as well as your mouth—do you really need that new shirt or skateboard? Didn’t think so. January 26th will find you merry and satisfied with life—after being cautious earlier, you can finally be carefree.
Taurus (April 21–May 20): While you’ll be a bit jittery on January 14th, within a few days the world will be in your hands again, Taurus—don’t worry! Something enormous is going to happen in regards to your work and academic life, and most likely, you’ll be quite pleased with the outcome. Look at you, being all productive! You may be promoted, your personal development will be taken to new heights, or maybe even both. Former mentors may resurface in your circle, so be open to their advice, even if it’s been a little while since you last connected.
Gemini (May 21–June 21): January 14th is closure time for you. And, Gemini, trust us when we say that it’s much-needed (even if you pretend it isn’t). Another chance to heal and take time for self-reflection is provided on the 17th, so take advantage of it. If you take care of yourself, you’ll feel more ready to expand your horizons—figuratively and maybe even literally. Mid-month finds you as the star of the show, the belle of the ball, the cream of the crop…you get the idea. Just don’t let it go to your head. Overconfidence will surely lead to a falling-out.
Cancer (June 22–July 22): Mid-January is when things really start to pick up in your life, Cancer. A metaphorical quest awaits you, and chances are very good that someone is waiting in the wings to generously sponsor you. Several like-minded people will cross paths with you and will provide you with a well of motivation to keep both your inner fire and your hunger for knowledge alive. Sometimes, elder folks really do know best, so at least give their knowledge and expertise a chance. There’s likely at least a few tricks you can apply to yourself.
Leo (July 23–August 23): Living to impress isn’t a new concept for you, Leo, but it will have a whole different meaning come January 23rd. You’re especially on top of your game then, and those doubtful of your abilities will be in for a shock as you easily surpass what they previously thought you could do. And while being under the public eye isn’t a usually big deal when it comes to you, you may crave it less this month—and that’s perfectly fine. Spend your time alone at the end of the month pinpointing what did and didn’t go well and counting your blessings.
Virgo (August 24–September 23): We all know there’s no “Undo” button for real life, but serendipitous vibes are sent your way on January 19th. During that time, the clean slate you’ve been hoping for arrives (finally!) and healthier habits slowly start to replace unhealthy ones. Wow, Virgo, the universe really seems to love you right now! You and your loved ones find it easier to relate to each other as well. The end of the month means damage control, however, so brace yourself to face something you might have been avoiding over the past two months, head-on.
Libra (September 24–October 23): January 19th marks the start of great revelry for you. Even though it may be limited because of COVID-19, you’ll stretch the limits just far enough to enjoy yourself, Libra. Your personal walls may also be knocked down as the month draws to a close—but be sure that this change is for a good reason. Some secrets are better kept to yourself. Rejuvenation will be a major theme for you going into February, as you can’t have fun without exhaustion. So start to take life a bit more seriously again—it’ll be well worth it.
Scorpio (October 24–November 22): While everything gets turned upside down for your family and friends this January, Scorpio, you’ll be their rock and main source of comfort. This might be uncomfortable for you, as you’re good at making plans, but not so good at helping others carry them out (or refraining from accomplishing tasks yourself when they aren’t done fast enough). Have a bit of self-control and give your loved ones the autonomy they deserve. This is important—by the end of January, you’ll discover you value independence too.
Sagittarius (November 23–December 21): Things will be speeding up and evolving rapidly in your life once January 17th hits, Sagittarius. While this might be concerning, try not to lash out at others. If you do, you’ll sorely regret it, because all these changes lead up to a huge reward on the 28th—whether it’s financial, romantic, or something else entirely. So even if you’d like to look back and frown at things that didn’t quite go as planned, don’t spend too much time overthinking it. You don’t want to miss out on happiness to experience now.
