Attention all Marvel fans or Loki fans, we have gotten some good news from Marvel Studios. On April 5th, a trailer for the new upcoming Loki series was finally released. The Loki series is still set to be released on June 11th exclusively on Disney Plus. It is rumored that the series will only have six episodes and may be getting a second season.
The Loki series takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame in which an alternate version of Loki steals the Tesseract and creates an alternate timeline. He then is forced to fix several timelines that he broke and ends up trapped in his own crime thriller. The Loki series will star Tom Hiddleston as Loki and Owen Wilson as Mobius. Until the trailer came out, we really have not gotten any new information about the series. Since the premiere of WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, we marvel fans are really excited to see the rest of phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Marvel fans do not really know if the Loki series will tie into Thor Love and Thunder or with the whole WandaVision multiverse. In the Loki trailer, you can see that Loki has to fix some timelines that he ruined and some Marvel fans are trying to see if that will connect with the multiverse from WandaVision to Spider-Man: No Way Home and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
In an exclusive interview with Empire magazine, Tom Hiddleston exclusively talks about the logo of the series and how it connects to the character Loki. Hiddleston also speaks about how in the trailer the logo shape shifts and it connects on how the show will be. You can read more about Tom Hiddleston’s interview in Empire magazine.
“I think that shapeshifting logo might give you an idea that Loki, the show, is about identity, and about integrating the disparate fragments of the many selves that he can be, and perhaps the many selves that we are,” said actor, Tom Hiddleston. “I thought it was very exciting because I’ve always found Loki a very complex construct. Who is this character who can wear so many masks, and changes shape, and seems to change his external feeling on a sixpence?”
As a huge Marvel fan, I am really excited to see all the new content that Marvel Studios is bringing this year. I am not really a huge Loki fan, but I am thrilled to see what kind of trouble Loki gets into and to see how his wit and abilities will get him out of that trouble. It will be interesting to see if Loki goes through the same development as he did in Avengers: Endgame. I have some theories about Loki and I hope this series can connect with the upcoming projects coming out over the course of the next few years.
“I am looking forward to the new Loki series because when I was younger, I grew up watching and falling in love with Loki and his story. I hope that the series will reveal some new possibilities in the Marvel Cinematic Universe,” said junior Sofia Garcia. “I have some predictions that Loki will eventually become a good guy but Marvel always has these crazy plot twists, so I never know what to expect.”
What are your thoughts on the Loki trailer? Are you excited about seeing this series and have you come up with any theories? As a reminder Loki will be released on June 11th exclusively on Disney Plus.
