This week from the 17th to the 19th at 7:00pm, the San Marcos Performing Arts will be hosting its annual showing of One Acts. This showing has been going on for years as those in the department write, act, and direct their own scenes. There will be 12 different skits and each will be around 10 minutes long throughout the three nights. Just like the play it will be set up so the audience is sitting on the stage looking into where the actors will perform.
With many actors along with 12 directors, the theater department has worked very hard these past months and are excited to share their work.
“It was really fun getting feedback from a director and seeing all the other scenes play out, this has really helped me grow with my acting,” said senior Diana Ybarra
There will be scenes ranging from horror to comedy, there will be something for everyone! The One Acts will be performed by students who were in the play earlier in the year the “Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Times”.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and One Acts will only be sold at the door, not online. However, there is limited seating so if you would like to go it would be best to get there early to make sure you are able to get in. You wont want to miss these spectacular performances and make sure to support our amazing theater department.
