Royal Time is finally beginning! Every Monday and Wednesday after first period and before second, students will attend their fifty minute long Royal Time class. There are many amazing options for Royal Time including study hall where students work independently on homework and class work, sculpture where students are able to test their creativity with clay, chess, rugby, yoga, and so many more! All students were able to fill out a Royal Time form within the first two weeks of school where they had many amazing options to choose from. Each student was assigned a teacher and classroom based on their top choices.
“I think Royal Time is a good break from academic classes, and depending on which one you choose, it can be very helpful and fun. It’s a great opportunity to branch out more and build new relationships with students in all grades,” said 12th grader Marina Brown.
Many students choose to spend the class with one of their current teachers to get personal help on assignments. Students struggling in a class will automatically be put with that teacher. Others choose to spend the class with their friends learning new, fun skills. If you do not need the study hall, students are encouraged to try new classes! You never know, you might find a new hobby, or meet some awesome new friends. If you do not like your royal time class, your counselors are always here to help make adjustments, although study hall teachers cannot be changed. So, what Royal Time class are you taking this semester?
