Kickoff! As the new NFL season starts up again, there are many new questions to be asked. Will number one overall pick Trevor Lawrence be able to pull the Jacksonville Jaguars out of the trenches of the league? Can Mac Jones fill the big shoes of Tom Brady in New England? Will this be Aaron Rodgers’s last season in the Green and Gold for the Packers? There are a lot of unanswered questions going into this season and plenty of young talent eager to make a difference.
Going into the season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the current favorites to take home the Super Bowl. Trailing close behind them are the Kansas City Chiefs, Green Bay Packers, Los Angeles Rams, and the Buffalo Bills. One of the other big conversations this season is the large number of star players making their return from injuries.
Some recognizable names are looking to come back and make a difference. For example, the Cowboys quarterback, Dak Prescott, the Bengals quarterback, Joe Burrow, the Giants running back Saquon Barkley, the Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey, and many more. A lot of people have trended downwards after injury, but a lot of fans, including myself, are hopeful that these young stars are able to bounce back and return to form.
”I’m super pumped up to see football again, it felt like too long.” Said Senior Jack Garcia. ”I think the Buccaneers are going back to back, they’re just too good.”
Many seem to think that the Buccaneers will make another run, but some teams, like the Packers and Chiefs, might look for revenge. We might even see a team like the Bills, led by Josh Allen, and the Cowboys who are stacked with talent. Even a team like the Vikings could rise from the ashes with their young team. It will be really fun to watch this season unfold and see which players and teams can prove themselves to be the best. As fans, we can only hope that our team has what it takes to come out on top.
