Grand opening of Crumbl Cookies in Goleta

Now open and baking, Crumbl Cookies unlocks a new location. Located at 5660 Calle Real in Goleta, Crumbl Cookies opened its door to customers on September 14. After having gained popularity for their creative and unique weekly cookies, Crumbl’s opening in Goleta was sure to spark local interest. Every week, Crumbl Cookies bakes a new cookie menu that changes routinely. Every Sunday evening, Crumbl announces their new menu that caters six new different cookie flavors.

“This venture is a unique blend of family and friendship – we’ve come together driven by our shared passion for the world’s most delectable cookies,” said one of the business owners of Crumbl Cookies, Shideler Bennett.

The operating business owners are excited to be serving the Santa Barbara community. Many students have already been spotted going to Crumbl Cookies during lunch to buy cookies. The lines have not been long, but the wait time tends to be lengthy depending on the time of day. It is expected to become not as crowded in the following days after the first week of their big opening.

“The texture of the majority of the cookies were dense like cake because of the thickness and the frosting,” said senior Culinary Pathway student Claire Gamble who tried all the Crumbl cookies of the week.

After getting student input, Biology teacher and cookie lover Jose Vega also had the opportunity to try and rank the cookies. He ranked the cookies of the week of September 11- September 16 in the following order; 1. Sea Salt Toffee, 2. Milk Chocolate Chip, 3. S’mores, 4. Apple Cider Muffin, 5. Chocolate Cupcake. (The strawberry milk ft. Pirouline ® cookie flavor was already sold out the second day of their opening.)

When entering upon Mr. Vega’s room, as soon as the Crumbl Cookie box was opened to show him the cookies, he immediately leaned backwards after being caught by surprise. He was eager to indulge in all of the cookies.

“Just with those five bites, it can wipe out a bad week and turn into a good week,” said Mr. Vega.

Crumbl is open Monday- Thursday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday-Saturday 8 a.m. to 12 a.m. Whether in the area or not, Crumbl Cookie is another option for a late night treat for anyone who is a dessert enthusiast.
