F1 Begins

Formula 1 is one of the only open wheeled championships in the world and is the most competitive. Every year multiple racing teams with  rich histories race all over the world on old and new tracks like Monaco, the oldest track still used in the current F1 season. F1 has multiple teams like Mercedes, McLaren, Ferrari etc, usually most teams have two drivers and multiple backups in case an emergency arises. The season usually lasts from early March to late November. There are two championships in F1, the first is the constructors championship which is for the teams/companies that are competing for the most points in F1. Then there is the Drivers Championship which from the name means the driver with the most points wins the Tifone cup.

In formula 1 there are also other lower classes like Formula 2 and 3 which is where usually the newest talents for F1 are found. This season is one of the most dominated by a single team in F1 history by a single man.

MaxVerstappen Red Bulls main driver has been heard talking about quitting Formula 1 in the middle of his most dominant season yet, Max is saying how it has become difficult to stay motivated in Formula 1, champions wanting to lose, racing not affected by age, new talent becoming the future of F1, and second placers

At the start of the season, the Rell Bull second driver Sergio Perez (Checo) started off with  a good start by  winning the 2nd race of the season, at The Jeddah Corniche Circuit in Saudi Arabia beating his partner Max Verstapin. Max also had a good start winning the 1st, and 3rd races then Sergio Perez made a good performance at the 4th race in  Azerbaijan.

The three rookies that joined this year were Logan Sargeant, Oscar Piastri, and Nyck De Vries. Racing for Williams, Alpha Tuari, and McLaren respectively. Fernando Alonso the main driver for Aston Martin this year who is also the oldest driver this season who has the record for the longest F1 Career as a driver. He  has been able to keep up with the youngest, and fastest drivers this year by being placed in 3rd.  He has had seven podiums in the 2023 drivers standings.

“Sometimes, you get to the point of your career where you want to do other stuff. -I am contracted to the end of 2028 and then we will review again.” said Max Verstappen Racingnews365, “I do feel that if it is getting too much then it is time for a change – You always have to be talking to yourself, looking at yourself – ‘are you still motivated?’”

Red Bull have dominated the season currently in the drivers and constructors standings, with their current drivers M.Verstappen and Checo both winning every race with Red Bull in the 2023 season. Max with 364+ points in the standings is outlandish when you think that his teammate Checo has 219 points and Fernando Alonso at 3rd with only 170 points. Meaning that, Max has effectively already won the championship even if doesn’t race for the rest of the season. To put that into perspective the level of dominance hasn’t been seen in F1 in decades, even Max has been heard talking about joining a different Motorsport due to the dominance becoming almost boring to him.
