Lance has the answers!

Dear Lance,

Would it be weird to go by myself to prom?

Sincerely,

Potential Party Pooper?

Dear Potential Party Pooper,

That would not be weird at all. In fact, there is even a term for this: going stag. You do not need to go with someone else to have a good time. However, if you really do feel uncomfortable going alone, ask a friend, or a group of friends to join you. Going with friends is common as well, and is a more fun alternative to going on your own. I promise that you will have fun, no matter who you go with.

Sincerely,

Lance

Dear Lance,

How should I study for my AP Physics test?

Sincerely,

Not Psyched For Physics

Dear Not Psyched For Physics,

This advice goes for anyone taking a big test; while they may seem scary, as long as you are prepared and try your best, they are manageable. I would advise asking some classmates to form a study group, or if one already exists, ask to join. Having others to keep you on track will increase motivation and make it more fun. Also, watch the videos in AP Classroom. Teachers from around the country made lessons about things that you will see on the test compacted into short and informative videos. The last tip I have is to practice. As long as you keep practicing problems, you will remember how to solve them, and will feel more confident on test day. Good luck, and happy studying!

Sincerely,

Lance

Dear Lance,

Do you think I should tell my sister about Santa?

Sincerely,

your Secret Admirer

Dear Secret Admirer,

Absolutely. You should not allow such harmful beliefs to perpetuate. If she believes in Santa, who knows what else she believes in, or who else (Tooth Fairy, I’m looking at you). So, yes, spread the truth. Let her know, no matter how harsh the truth may seem. Actually, well, if she is older than 10, by all means fill her in. If she is younger though…. maybe let her still hold on to the magic for a little longer. We all need a little magic in our lives.

Sincerely,

Lance

Dear Lance,
