I am currently a Senior, and I am worried about never getting a date to HOCO. I want to have that cute romance-y experience, but I don’t think I will ever get it. What should I do?

Sincerely,

Royally Stumped

Hey there,

I know you are worried about never getting a date to Homecoming, especially with it being your Senior year, but have you ever considered asking your crush or friend to go with you? It might not be as hard as you think, and still, get that romance-y experience you’re mentioning! You could plan a nice night, get those matching outfits, all you could imagine too! But as long as you go, I can assure you that this year is going to be a lot of fun. Date or no date!

Sincerely,

Lance

Ever since school started, I have felt like I’ve been having a hard time keeping my grades up. What do you suggest I should do Lance?

Sincerely,

Unsuccessful on Hollister

Hey there,

Don’t worry! I think everyone has been there.  Especially with finally going back to school in person, there have been so many other distractions than just school! Although, if you do feel that you are falling behind in your classes, the first thing I suggest is to ask your teacher for help. Teachers can give you possibly extra time to go over your work with them, or even opportunities to earn extra credit! If you find what your teachers suggest as un-useful, the school also provides PAPER Tutoring (which is an app/website you can use to help you), or you can talk to your counselor about possibly switching classes to the one you would feel better suited for.

Sincerely,

Lance

My best friend’s boyfriend is cheating on her. Should I tell her or not get involved? If I do tell her, how should I do it?

Sincerely,

Royal Blue and Screwed

Hey there,

I think telling your best friend is your best choice even if you don’t want to get involved. It would be worse if you knew and didn’t tell her. How I suggest you go about it is to do it in private and in person. If this is not possible then just do it as soon as you can. I promise once you tell her you will feel better about it!

Sincerely,

Lance
