Cozy Fall Activities

Cozy+Fall+Activities

When temperatures start to drop and the trees change colors, comes the perfect atmosphere for going out and doing fun fall activities. Here are some things you can do with friends or family here in Santa Barbara.

Spooky photo shoot:

Who doesn’t love a cute photo shoot, especially one with a little twist? If you want to take photos with friends or just by yourself it’s super easy to add a little spooky twist. Ghosts and jack-o-lanterns are some pretty classic Fall/Halloween mascots, so why not become one of them? It’s surprisingly easy to do both!

To become a ghost all you need is some sheets, simply cut out some eyes and add some little accessories if you want. Jack-o-lanterns are a little trickier because you need to find a pumpkin that will fit on your head but after that simply carve it out with a cute or scary face and there you go. All that’s left is to find a cute location.

Simple fall treats:

Baking is a bit hard sometimes so here are some fall treats that won’t take too long but will still taste amazing.  First, of course, are the Pillsbury cookies that have fun little designs like ghosts and pumpkins on them. These are super easy to bake as the dough is pre-made so all you need to do is pop it in the oven for the recommended time.

Another yummy treat is caramel apples. There are two ways to make these, one is to make your own caramel from scratch and the other is to buy pre-made caramel and just melt it. Both are pretty easy so it just depends on what you want.

The last dessert is witches fingers. These are just pretzels decorated with chocolate and almonds. All you need are some thick pretzels, white chocolate, and almonds. Just melt your chocolate, add green dye to it and dip your pretzel. Then, put a sliced almond on the end for the fingernail and let it cool in the freezer.

Fall themed sleepover:

Sleepovers are always fun and what makes them more exciting is when there is a theme. Here are some ideas for if you decide to have a fall sleepover.

First, a fun activity is to make matching tie blankets with your friends. All you need to do is go to a fabric store, each pick a pattern that you like, and get a few yards of it. Then you get one piece of each pattern, cut slits all along the sides, and tie the slits together. After this you can make some yummy treats from up above or other ones that you like! And finally to end off the night you can get cozy with your blankets you made and your treats and watch some horror movies or just any of your favorites.

“Fall sleepovers are fun because there are so many activities to do like pumpkin carving, baking fall themed things, and having a horror movie marathon!” Said freshman Serah Angel.

These are just some fun ways to enjoy your fall season. Hopefully you try these and have a great time with your friends and family!
